ACHCGA

We are the African Center for Health, Climate & Gender Justice Alliance (ACHCGA), a dynamic movement of women, children, and youth standing up for our planet, our health, and our future. We drive gender-responsive climate action, sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), and the protection of women and children. Through bold collaboration, innovative solutions, and a deep commitment to social justice, we are committed to shaping a world where those who inherit the future define its path

Our Mission

We envision a future where everyone, women, every child and every youth thrives in a healthy, equitable environment. Our work rests on three core pillars:

Climate Action

Tackling climate change by implementing projects that address loss and damage, promote adaptation, advance gender equality through women and girls’ empowerment, and prioritize disaster risk reduction to build resilient communities.

Resilient Health

Strengthening healthcare systems and communities to recover from and withstand climate-related challenges

Gender Justice

Ensuring equal access to resources and opportunities for all, regardless of gender, guided by human rights approaches to gender justice
